Landmark Store Assistant, Lincoln



Position: Landmark Stores, Nebraska History Museum and State Capitol

Description: Greeting and assisting store visitors/customers with sales and provide effective customer service. Ability to use a point of sale computer system and credit card machine to make sales. Assist store staff with merchandise display, checking in and receiving inventory, straightening and cleaning, and stocking shelves. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

*Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
*Excellent telephone skills
*Ability to use a computerized Point of Sale system to make sales
*Ability to calculate change
*Knowledge of store merchandise
*Familiarity with the community to serve customer requests
*Dependable

Days/Hours:       Sunday-Saturday; 1:00-4:30 p.m., options

Locations Landmark Stores at these locations:
          * Nebraska History Museum, 15th and P Streets, Lincoln
          * Nebraska State Capitol, 1445 K Street, Lincoln

Educational Training and Commitment
          * A commitment of one afternoon each week for one year
          * One on one training by Landmark Store staff to include the Point of Sale system, knowledge of merchandise, familiarity with facilities and the downtown area

Training: Training by Landmark Store staff, 15th and P Streets, Lincoln

Parking:  Parking and validation is provided in city-owned parking garages for hours volunteered.
