The Archival Collection Database provides access to basic information on the Society's collections of manuscripts (papers of families and individuals, and records of businesses and organizations), photographs, moving images, and sound recordings.
Currently, only a portion of the Society's total archival holdings are represented on this database, but more records are added regularly. For other resources relating to the archival collections, see our Research Materials page.
There are two ways to search this database:
1. SEARCH BY COLLECTION NAME.
Click on the button below to view a list of archival collections included in this database.
From there, you can go to the information on each collection.
2. SEARCH BY KEYWORD AND DOCUMENT TYPE.
This method allows you to enter terms and names you're looking for. You can also specify that your search covers any format, or one or more specific document types. After you complete the search form below, and click the "Search" button.SEARCH TIPS:
- Enter more than one Keyword. The database will search for records that contain all the terms you enter.
- Reset the search form to blank by clicking the "Reset" button.
INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU FIND?
If you find something of interest, print the collection number and name, and contact the Society's Library/Archives Reference Services to go further. Also see Services We Provide.
