Clark Hotel [AD04-022]

Low-Moderate Income Housing Units: 87Located in Hastings, the Clark Hotel is a six-story building constructed in 1914. A large matching extension was added in 1916. The hotel, designed in the Renaissance Revival style, is an early illustration of the trend for small communities to invest in the construction of a major hotel in the first quarter of the twentieth century. The rehabilitation, completed in 1988, converted the former hotel into housing for the elderly.
Burlington Northern Depot [AD04-001]
Located in Hastings, the Burlington Northern Depot was designed by the prominent Nebraska architect Thomas Rogers Kimball in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Constructed in 1902-3 the depot is an important Hastings landmark. Following the rehabilitation in 2001, the former depot maintains that function as an Amtrak passenger station in addition to being a showroom.
