The collection consists of one item, a reminiscence by A.A. Keith entitled, "Indian Raid in 1878 under Cheyenne Chief Dull Knife." Keith, a horse wrangler on a cattle drive along the Texas Trail, gives an account of life on a cattle drive between Elsworth, Kansas, and Kearney, Nebraska. He describes conflicts with Cheyenne Indians, as well as imprisonment of the Northern Cheyenne at Fort Robinson, Nebraska.
Note: The NSHS collections include various materials relating to Dull Knife and the Cheyenne Outbreak of 1878.
