SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection consists of documents written and compiled by Ella B. Jacobson, former mayor of Waterloo, Nebraska. The majority of the collection consists of handwritten notes and manuscript drafts by Jacobson relating to the early history of Waterloo. Also included are miscellaneous newspaper clippings about general Nebraska history topics, a manuscript entitled, "The Defense of Patriotism," and a program from the Nebraska Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Most of the notes and manuscript drafts are undated, but the majority of the collection appears to date from the 1920s and 1930s.
