SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of two copies (and a transcript) of a handwritten travel log kept by Harold McComb and John Resler for a 190-mile walk they took from Wilsonville, Nebraska to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. The log dates from 1908, Sept. 5-11, and includes names of people they encountered and names of towns where they stopped. The log is accompanied by a 1977 introduction giving a brief background to the walk.
