The collection contains newspaper clippings from the Beatrice Express (Beatrice, Nebraska), dating from 1874, along with two handwritten drafts of articles that were published in the newspaper. These items describe the beginnings of the temperance movement in Beatrice and the activities of the Ladies of Temperance Association of Beatrice. Also included in the collection is a letter from Julia Fuller of Beatrice, Nebraska, dated January 12, 1913, in which she reminisces about the blizzard of 1888.
