SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of biographical information, correspondence, and book reviews concerning Civil War General Philip Kearny. The correspondence is between Susan Kearny Selfridge (Philip Kearny's daughter) and A.E. Sheldon, director of the Nebraska State Historical Society. Also included are letters and book reviews written by Thomas Kearny (Philip Kearny's grandson).
