SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The collection consists of one letter dated June 8, 1864, from R.W. Latta to his brother, Calvin Latta. In the letter, Latta tells that he and his family have been detained in their travels near Nebraska City, Nebraska Territory, due to illness and injury. He states that he has broken his jaw and that the children have the measles.
