SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This collection contains copies of transcriptions of letters (1927-1928) written by Walter H. Judd while he was a medical missionary in China. The letters, written to Judd's mother and to Dr. Frank Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, discuss the revolution in China, medical problems and statistics, and the Chinese people. Also included in the collection are several pamphlets/programs and a newspaper clipping. The first pamphlet dates from 1932 and is entitled, "A Philosophy of Life that works." It is an address that was given at a convention in Buffalo, New York, for the Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions, Inc. Also included is a program for the International Christian World Conference, General Session, Seattle, Washington, dated July 6, 1965. Finally, there is an undated newspaper clipping which refers to an address given by U.S. Representative Judd form Minnesota in which he outlines a "policy designed to prevent further world wars."
