BACKGROUND NOTEThe Nebraska Museums Association was chartered in 1990 when it branched off from the Nebraska Futures Project. Some of the goals of the association are to promote professional standards in Nebraska museums, and to serve as an information source for local, state and federal government and other decision making authorities on issues relating to Nebraska Museums. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The collection consists of the records of the Nebraska Museums Association, a society of Nebraska museum professionals. The collection includes correspondence, minutes of meetings, meeting agendas, membership information, legislative bills, budget information, grant requests, The Phoenix newsletter and questionnaires. The materials in the collection date from 1975-2003.
