Permission for use of duplicates of materials from the collections
of the Nebraska State Historical Society is granted for a
single and one-time use as specified in our Agreements for Personal
or Product Use. (See a sample use agreement).
Users are responsible for clearing any issues of copyright.
Use fees are charged when copies of materials from the collections
of the Nebraska State Historical Society are used for certain
purposes, as outlined below. These fees are levied in addition
to any fees charged for actual reproduction of the materials
(see pdf of Fees for Duplication
and Special Access).
No use fees are charged when materials are used for research,
personal enjoyment, by non-profit (501c3) entities, by public
broadcasters, or by Nebraska local news media, Nebraska educational
institutions and academic presses, and Nebraska state and local
government entities. Uses by non-Nebraska local news media, accredited
educational institutions, academic presses and government entities
are charged one-half the stated fees. All other uses are charged
according to the fee schedule below.
Use fees must be paid in advance of receiving use permissions,
and are non-refundable. Fees are subject to change without notice.
