Yolanda Nuncio

Yolanda Nuncio

Grand Island, Nebraska, resident Yolanda Chavez Nuncio's grandparents came to the United States from Mexico. Ultimately settling in the Grand Island area, their early efforts to establish a gathering place for Mexican Americans resulted in the formation of the Grand Island Latin Club. Their concern for and involvement in the Mexican community's cultural life has been handed down to Ms. Chavez Nuncio, who passes it on to her own children.
