Guns
Although few firearms have been manufactured in Nebraska, several firms have produced reloading tools and ammunition components.
Top: Hornady Bullets, Hornady Manufacturing Co., Grand Island. Left: Ernest L. Barney of Lincoln invented the Pak-It gun and rod saddle and was granted a patent in 1952. His invention was an elongated leather "safety gun saddle" used as a gun carrier. This item evolved into the plastic Pak-It, which could be used for both firearms and fishing rods.
