The Library / Archives Division of the Nebraska State Historical Society safeguards the documentary heritage of Nebraska so that it can be used by all researchers. Collections include books and other published works; newspapers; maps; photographs; government records; papers of individuals, businesses, organizations, and religious bodies; sound recordings, and moving images. HOURS
The Library is closed all state holidays and on some holiday weekends. The state holidays are: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Arbor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day & day after, and Christmas Day. It is advisable to check with the Reference Room for the current schedule of open hours before arriving to do research.
