Amos S. Billingsley was a Presbyterian home missionary. He served in the Territory of Nebraska, largely at Brownville, until April of 1861, when he left for the Colorado gold fields.


This collection consists of one reel of negative microfilm approximately 15 feet long, which contains the diary of Amos Billingsley. The diary includes recorded births, deaths, marriages, etc., mostly in the town of Brownville, Nebraska Territory, between July 22, 1857 and Oct. 13, 1862. The original diary is not in the NSHS collections; only the microfilm is available.
