The collection contains a memorial sketch of Judge Elmer S. Dundy. The sketch relates to his life in Pennsylvania and Nebraska, particularly Richardson County. Dundy was involved with the establishment of Falls City as the Richardson County seat. His legal and political life at the local, county, district, Nebraska territorial, and federal levels is stressed. Elmer Dundy is best know as the judge who presided over the trial of Standing Bear in 1879. The collection also includes a letter from Dundy to an unidentified general, dated March 23, 1876.
