WILLIAM F. "BUFFALO BILL" CODY, 1846-1917
William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody was one of the most famous Nebraskans of his time. He was an army scout and served as a guide for the wealthy and famous on buffalo hunts. He organized the first of his famous Wild West Shows in 1883 and entertained people all over the United States and Europe. You can visit "Scouts Rest" in North Platte, Nebraska, a home he built in 1886.
